If you are not afraid of heights and enjoy a gondola ride this is one experience you should take. The ride up and down last about 7 minutes. Very genial, comfortable with four individuals to a car. You get a good view of Queenstown and the lake. 

This is a definite must do if you go up the mountain via the cable car. The second leg up is a ski lift which is not for the faint hearted but the ride down is great. The first run checks you for safety, whilst the second allows you to ease off the breaks.
