A platform with room for 22 diners, and a few cooks and servers, is hoisted way up by a 120 ton crane. The novelty-based mobile restaurant has gained popularity worldwide and is now offered for limited run periods in cities around the globe, including Montreal.

2. Ithaa Undersea Restaurant – Rangali Island, Maldives
Located at the Conrad Maldives, Rangali Island Resort is a gorgeous and intimate underwater restaurant (seating capacity is 14 people) that is more than sixteen feet below sea level. Encased in a transparent acrylic roof, the restaurant offers its diners a 270-degree panoramic view of sea creatures swimming in the Maldives’ crystal clear waters. While a zinc paint coating protects Ithaa’s steel structure from corrosion, the saltwater and marine growths adhering to the paint will eventually break it down.

This bone-chilling restaurant is made completely of ice. From the benches to the bar, everything is below freezing — so don’t forget your coat! This is something unique in Dubai. Its small but its very nice place to hang out. Free gloves, jackets, and hot chocolate you will enjoy. Almost everything at the restaurant is sculpted out of ice. Diners will sit on ice benches or chairs, eat at ice tables, out of ice plates, drink from ice glasses served from a bar made office. The restaurant is Dubai-based Sharaf Group’s enterprise while technical inputs came from Canada-based Ice culture Inc, who are credited with building ice lounges around the world.

4. Yellow Treehouse Restaurant, New Zealand
The Yellow Treehouse Restaurant, or Redwoods Treehouse, is a striking pod-shaped structure built 33 feet high in a tree trunk in the forest near Warkworth, north of Auckland,New Zealand. It can be accessed through a 180-foot “treetop” walkway, built with redwood milled on site.The restaurant can hold up to 30 guests, either seated at tables or standing.Unfortunately, the restaurant now is no longer open for dinner but can be rented for private parties.
